We passed the final!!

After waiting at the house with Lambert for 3 hours the inspector arrived and we passed the final inspection. Lambert was on pins and needles because they rarely pass you the first time. I had a good feeling about it though.

Here's to moving day tomorrow! Yippee!!!

Love Chick-fil-a kids night

Matt and I took Reese for a special evening with Mom and Dad. It wad fun but she said she wanted Lane to join us next time. What a sweet sis!

Almost there...hope to move next Friday!

The West U permitting process (oh and the exposed sprinkler system - which is waiting for it's permit) held us up this week, so we have not moved in yet. The punch list is small and we are hopeful all will get approved this coming Thursday, so we can move in on Friday. We are so ready!!!

Five trees (a live oak and 4 hollies) were planted last week - the rest of the landscaping will be completed this week.

The iron gates are in.

The bar is ready to be stocked.

We are keeping the hardwood floors covered to protect their beautiful shine while the workers are still in and out of the house.

The dining room is ready for a big meal.

The powder room is ready for it's guests.

Matt's study (as he calls it) is ready for a new desk and lots of paperwork in the filing cabinets...

The window coverings will be installed on Monday. We are doing a combination of woven wood blinds in the study/dining and kids rooms and white wooden shutters in the game room, guest and master.

The living/great room is ready for the family to hang out and watch the new 55 inch with surround sound.

The professional kitchen is ready to prepare a chef's meal - I wonder when I'll have time to make anything more complicated than spaghetti or a casserole? I do hope to cook more and experiment often. Can't wait to feel like Giada whipping up delicious meals for the family.

We can finally see the beautiful marble on the island.

Adrienne's desk...if he gets the study then I get this area which I do love.

These are the door knobs for the entire house...love the vintage crystal look.

The master bedroom is ready for new furniture, but that will have to wait a bit longer.

Master bathroom...the tile is gorgeous but was a painful process. I never knew tile could be such a nightmare..it kept me up at night, but the finished product is worth it (I think).

The shower...an equal nightmare with the floors.

The game room is ready for lounging - once we get a second sofa.

The guest bath and bedroom is ready for guests!

The kids bathroom is ready to be shared by Reese and Lane - we are waiting for the sconces to arrive - which will be hung above the medicine cabinets.

Lane's room - the blue is very serene.

Wish us luck that we'll be moving over Easter weekend!!!

Happy Monday!

This morning when I woke Reese I said, "You slept well last night!" She responded while rubbing her eyes, "Yes and Eyore slept well too. So did Pooh, Tigger and Piglet... Eyore is ready for breakfast." So off we went to make cereal. Then she wanted to take Eyore to school and buckle him in on the way. They both look so happy! I have more to post on the past month including the rodeo, Lane's 5th month and both of their milestones. This house is keeping me so busy. I don't sit down until 10:30 at night and by then I need to go to bed. Stay tuned for a big update as soon as I get a chance! We hope to move on April 15th!
