Only 3 months until a YEAR!
Lane turned 9 months on July 17th! I can't believe my baby boy is growng up sooo fast and that he is almost 1 year old!
At his 9 month appointment he was 20 lb 7 oz (47%) and 30 (93%) inches. He got one shot and took it fairly well just crying for the second they poked him. Then he was all better. Here he is waiting to see the doc.
Recently Lane has learned to:
In his carrier or high chair (shown above).
On his bedroom floor. He took his bottle while Reese finished her bath and was so tired he fell asleep right there.
In the jogger. If we walk in the evening he will nap here otherwise he will take a short nap in his high chair after a bottle. Then we wake him up for bathtime and his bedtime bottle.
And here are the 9 month pictures!

Recently Lane has learned to:- Pat, pat, pat. Lane is very loving like Reese. He loves to pat my shoulder and has been doing this for at least two months. It is so sweet. Speaking of loving, he give the best hugs and just snuggles right up. Sometime he will curl his legs up under his chest when I hold him; he is so snuggly!
- Scoot on his belly. He is not crawling yet, but he is moving across the floor pushing one leg and both arms. He is not going from a tummy to sitting position yet, but is trying to pull up on things.
- Kick and Kick. He loves to kick when he is excited. This excitement usually comes when he see Reese do something neat or when I run the bath water. He also jumps when you hold him.
- Laugh at Reese. He loves watching, playing and laughing with Reese.
- Make lots of noise. He is making even more noise now saying "Dada Dada", "Aaaahhh" and lots of other fun sounds. Lane also grunts a lot which is really funny.
- Stand. Lane likes to be held up so he can stand. When I try to sit him down he straightens his legs and pushes so I can't sit him down. I have to keep a hold of him because he cannot stand alone yet.
- Get more teeth. Lane now has 4 teeth - the top two are making their way down. He has the best smile too! Just like Reese.
- Be cute like his cousins and his sister. Lane has his own look for sure, but I must say sometimes he looks like Reese and Maggie.
- Lane can sleep anywhere!

GiGi's Birthday!
Our weekend started out great with an afternoon of shopping on Friday - Mom and I checked out the Nordstrom Fall sale and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the bistro. After picking up the kids from school, Matt, Reese, Lane and I joined our friends/neighbors Gail, John and Chloe for a driveway session. That is short for sitting on their driveway chatting, the kids playing, the adults enjoying a cocktail and everyone eating dinner. The other neighbors call us driveway gypsies, but the girls call it a 'driveway session'. We always have a blast and usually get visits from one or more of our other neighbors.
Chloe met us half way (they live midway down the street on the opposite side of us) and the girls were so excited!
Reese showed Chloe her new bumble bee hair clip. Mom and I also shopped for Reese - my gymbucks were burning a hole in my wallet!

We strayed from pizza and ordered from Hungry's. The girls enjoyed chicken and pasta with alfredo sauce.
Popsicle time! Cheers!
Lane is always a trooper as long as he has something to chew. Matt's watch is a hit with Lane like it was with Reese at this age.
On Saturday we did swim lessons, chores and lots of errands getting ready for GiGi and Grandma to come over for dinner to celebrate GiGi's birthday.
And Eeyore is such a great sport!
Reese enjoyed her lolli which she got during lunch at Little Matt's - a super cute eatery near West U elementary. It's our usual Saturday after swim lessons treat.

Later that evening, Matt grilled steaks! Then we topped it off with chocolate cake hand picked by Reese.
Reese wanted the green balloon.
Grandma was telling me how well the Rangers are doing in baseball - the only team to win 10 (now 11) games in a row this season!

She got two big frames to hold the pictures of Reese and Lane - both at 8 months of age.
Today, we did lots of laundry. Then I took the kids to GiGi's while I went to a Stella and Dot jewelry party. I found some very cool stuff!
After her dinner of corn, green beans, watermelon, one bite of fish she got to eat more birthday cake.
She told me, "This is the yummiest cake I have ever seen!"
Happy Birthday GiGi! We enjoyed spending the weekend with you and we love you!

Things I don't want to forget ~ July 2011
For Reese it is her waking me up in the middle of the night saying, "Mommy" and crawling into our bed. As her head hits the pillow the smile on her face is priceless (she is so happy to be there). I am tempted to put the camera on the night stand and capture it. She doesn't want to sleep in her bed most nights and even if we get her to she typically ends up in our bed at some point. Think this habit is going to be hard to break? You bet!
For Lane it is these lovely baby stages that I am eating up. Sleeping with that cute butt in the air, waking up with his cute head popped up over the crib pad and crashing out like this!
Lane has decided he prefers giving himself a bottle in his bed at night time. I enjoyed holding him and feeding him, but he was too restless, so one night I just put him down, handed him the bottle and turned on the mobile. Five minutes later he was passed out with his paci in his mouth and the bottle was dry.I love these kids soooo much!
